Cheryl Shero has been the CEO of Gottsche Rehabilitation Center since 2000.  Cheryl was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to California to attend college.  After 28 years, she came back to her roots in Thermopolis Wyoming.

Cheryl was a business owner and real estate developer while serving on the Gottsche board, prior to accepting the position as CEO of Gottsche.  Cheryl prides herself in being a vital part of the community and finds her strengths in Business development and leadership.  This can be noted with the wide array of organizations she has been involved with such as the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Economic Development, Wyoming Association of Non-Profits, The Senior Citizens Board, School Booster clubs and activities while her sons were in school, tobacco and suicide prevention coalition, Founding Father’s committee of Leadership Hot Springs County among many others.  Cheryl is one who sees a need in a community and goes about servicing that need.

Cheryl’s prized success is the addition of four rehab facilities around the state of Wyoming after Gottsche had remained a one clinic operation for 50 years prior.   Cheryl took Gottsche from being a half-million dollar a year company, to one with 5 facilities that are all ongoing, viable non-profit organizations.

Cheryl has improved the facilities and the communities they are in by adding wellness centers with state-of-the-art equipment, women’s wellness education, and providing facilities that treat those who are in need, regardless of the ability to pay.

Cheryl is a forward thinker and uses her creativity to make all five Gottsche locations a success and an asset to the communities that they are in.
