Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy refers to exercises performed in the water.  The goal of these activities can be for relaxation, fitness, physical rehabilitation, and other therapeutic benefits.  Treatment provided in the water gives clients a way to exercise with less pressure on their joints.  Aquatic therapy can provide relief to those that have neuromuscular or musculoskeletal disorders.

Gottsche therapists utilize aquatic therapy to improve patient’s movement and strength in an environment with less pain, joint stress, and muscle fatigue that can be associated with land-based exercises.  Aquatic therapy also provides a safe environment for balance retraining.
